Q. What is a salsa fix?

A.If you are an addict the definition is self         explanatory.

It is a that "dance" that makes you feel           really good.

The more you learn, the harder it is to go        home without it .

No dancer, no matter how advanced, should give instruction or "hints" to his/her partner unless and until the partner requests it.  Unsolicited "help" presumes (usually incorrectly) that the help-er is more advanced than the help-ee, and is typically not welcome.
Master your basics and leading ladies through entr'acte turn patterns will become a lot easier.

Tips for
Salsa DJs

1.  Don't play fast music unless you can dance to it.
2.  Remember that dancers judge you by how much
    danceable music you play.
3.  Don't mix salsa!
4.  Remember that merengue is used to give salseros       a break and get budding salseros on the floor.
5.  Change the damn song when no salseros are                dancing!
6. Play the Reggaeton on the way to your gig and get       it out of your system!
Dancing salsa in heels will help you develop your dancing a lot quicker.

Tribute to Big Apples Finest.....
David Melendez
and a Tremendous loss for the Salsa Community.
No more suffering for one of the biggest Promoters of the Dance we love the most! He was known as an icon in the New York mambo community, founder of Starlite Dance Studio and the New York Salsa Congress.

It is a privilege to say he was a true friend and Instructor of what I call my"New York Style Cha Cha." He will continue to live on through me and my students every time I teach or dance social cha cha.

The salsa community will never be the same and I will never forget the first time I met him at the Miami Salsa Congress.!
